Love the book, but......

A chunk of pages in the middle of the book were in backward and upside down. (235-258) I carefully pulled them out, put them right way, and gently glued them back in. Not what you want to do with a new book, but I thought better that than to have to pay to return it. As to the book itself, it is very thorough, and I have already been able to incorporate some of the techniques. I have his other two books as well, so I knew it would be a worthwhile addition to my collection. (I suggest you take a look at other copies, Farthingales, in case the printer made a mistake in more than just one book.)

I'm sorry that you faced this. I've been selling these books for several years and this is the first time I've of heard this. I've just glanced through a few others and didn't see a problem. Thank you for including the page numbers, so that I could check more closely.

Classic, Dense, Informative, Difficult

This is a very complete text (over 500 pages) of pattern drafting through the years. The book is mostly drafting examples with instructions and drawings. If studied carefully, one can learn a huge amount about pattern drafting. This is not an easy read, but is recommended for anyone serious about costumes and/or pattern drafting.
There seem to be a number of errors in the instructions but overall this is a very instructive book of major significance.
