Synthetic whale bone is modern version of whale bone that ...doesn't come from a whale. This synthetic whale bone is 5mm wide (approximately 3/16 inch) by 1mm thick. A lovely light weight boning perfect for period stays.

It is opaque white and can be cut with scissors, but not sewn through.
